1970 -1973

Murch continued his paintings depicting the environment of Sydney’s northern beaches, exhibiting locally and in NSW and interstate galleries.

In 1972 Arthur restored sculptures in the gardens of Norman Lindsay’s house in Springwood, NSW

1973 -1975

Commissioned by Blackheath Rhododendron Festival Committee for a life-sized equestrian statue and rider in Blackheath, Blue Mountains NSW. The work depicted a mythical bushranger rearing on his horse. This work was a major undertaking.

1976 – 1979

At the age of 75, Murch commissioned by Rockhampton City Council, Queensland for another life-size equestrian statue. This sculpture, in bronze, depicted Charles Archer and his horse Sleipner.
